President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Sunday called on all the political parties to clear the existing differences among themselves to enhance better understanding and resolve the current political deadlock and turmoil caused by the unceremonious dissolution of the Constituent Assembly (CA) without promulgating the constitution.

Hosting a tea reception programme organised in Shital Niwas for leaders of 25 political parties Sunday morning, President Yadav said that the political parties are left with other alternatives but to forge consensus among themselves and give a political way out to the crisis facing the country.

On the occasion, the President held consultation with leaders of the 25 political parties on the current political stalemate caused by the government’s decision to hold fresh CA election and opposition parties’ demand that the government first step down to create an enabling atmosphere for the same.

Vice-president Parmananda Jha, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, UML chairman Jhalanath Khanal, NC president Sushil Koirala were also present in the tea reception among other leaders. nepalnews.com
