Terai-based underground leader shot dead in Raxaul

A local leader of Janatantrik Terai Mukti Party (Bhagat Singh group), a Terai-based underground armed outfit, was shot dead by unidentified persons in Raxaul, India, bordering Birgunj, last night.

The deceased has been identified as Mohit Yadav of Sukhipatara VDC in Parsa district.

According to police, two bike-borne assailants shot at him near Mansamai Temple of Raxual at around 8:30 pm. Yadav was on his way to his room on a motorcycle with central treasurer of the party, Birendra Yadav, as a pillion rider.

According to the police, the assailants had used a bike bearing Nepali number pate and the police has started search for them. nepalnews.com
