UML's Indigenous, Madhesi leaders to boycott party's national level meet
The Indigenous and Madhesi leaders of CPN-UML have announced that they will boycott the national cadre meet of the party set to start from
Monday.
Complaining that instead of addressing their grievances the party leadership called the national cadre meet to weaken their stance on
identity-based federalism, the Indigenous and Madhesi leaders said they are boycotting the two-day national level meet being organised by the
party to discuss the unceremonious demise of the Constituent Assembly and the political developments after it.
Led by UML party vice-chairman Ashok Rai and standing committee member Prithivi Subba Gurung, the Indigenous and Madhesi leaders of UML have been refusing to attend the meetings and assemblies organised by the party of late. nepalnews.com
