NA to provide shelter to Chepang child who lost entire family to poisonous mushroom
The Nepal Army (NA) is to provide shelter to Chokman Chepang of Kabilas village from Chitwan, for he lost his parents and three brothers due to the intake of poisonous mushroom recently.
As per the direction of Chief of Army Staff Chhatraman Singh Gurung, the child was brought to the Shamserdal battalion, Bharatpur. The NA has promised to look after the child until he becomes self-dependent, according to RSS
It is learnt the preparations were going on to send the child to Kathmandu.
Prior to taking the child under its protection, the NA team had consulted with his grandparents and relatives.
However, another surviving member of the Chepang family, six-months-old Shana Bahadur, is under the protection of his father's sister.
The Chepang family was in great distress after losing its five members. They are survived by only Buddhi's old parents and two children. nepalnews.com
