Police on Saturday morning conducted raids in the houses as well as possible hideouts of capital-based “Dons” involved in various organised crimes including burglary, smuggling, and abduction.

A special team of Nepal Police raided 64 various locations in Kathmandu including the houses Dipak Manange, believed to be the most powerful “Don” in the capital, Dinesh Adhikari a.k.a. Chari, Sashi Adhikari, Panche Lama, Baghe Lama, Kumar Ghaite and Dawa Lama.

Police said some 700 police personnel were involved in the special search campaign started to indict the heads of criminal gangs and their members on various criminal charges.

The raid were conducted at around 3 am in the morning, but the police couldn’t arrest any gang members due to lack of enough evidence to press charges against them.
