Training on Save Motherhood and Child Care begins in Birgunj
A three-day training on Save Motherhood and Child Care has begun here in Birgunj from Wednesday.
The training organised by the Dalit Women Association Parsa targeting the women and teenage girls from the Dalit community.
They will train on various issues including family planning, maternity and infant health, child care and health, nutrition, population management, reproductive health and safe motherhood.
The objective of the training is to inform teenage girls about reproductive health and increase public awareness on safe motherhood and child care, trainer and Association' social facilitator Baidhyanath Ram told National News Agency.
The training is expected to be successful in making the Dalit women aware of sexual and reproductive health, said training coordinator Nila Ram.
A total of 42 women and teenage girls from 16 Dalit community in the Birgunj sub metropolis are taking part in the programme. nepalnews.com
