Bus overturns trying to avoid collision with motorcycle, 2 killed, 25 injured

A passenger bus met with an accident in Palpa district on Tuesday, leaving two dead and more than 25 passengers injured.

Anil Karki, 35, of Gaurigaun, Tansen, and Dipak Lama, co-driver from Thuli Pipal, Bhairahawa died when the bus (Lu 1 Kha 3135) overturned while trying to avoid collision with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction at Lamidanda along the Siddhartha Highway. The motorcyclist escaped unhurt.

All the injured were from the bus and they are currently receiving medical care at local health facilities.
