Lightning claims two more in Dhading

Two persons died when lightning struck them at Bhinse, Mahadevthan VDC-1 in Dhading district on Thursday. Two other persons have been injured in the incident.

The deceased have been identified as 65-year-old Tok Bahadur Gurung and 45-year-old Deep Bahadur Gurung of Bhainse. Kanchhi Maya Gurung and Seti Maya Magar have sustained injuries, District Police Office said.

Reports say that several houses have been damaged by the thunderbolt in the district.

Similarly, five people were injured and three houses were damaged by lightning at Maidi VDC-3.

Reports from Lamjung say four children have been injured by lightning at Tarkughat VDC-3 in Lamjung district on Thursday night. The lightning occurred simultaneously at different places at around 5 p.m., leaving Sabina Nepali, Bimala Nepali, Bishal Nepali and Sabin Miya injured. They are undergoing treatment at the Lamjung Community Hospital, Besisahar.
