Corporate Premier League T20 Cricket: Yeti Airlines, Rangers win

Yeti Airlines and You We Rangers registered victory in their respective matches of the ongoing Wai Wai Corporate Premier League T20 Cricket 2012 played at Kirtipur TU Ground on Friday.

Yeti Airlines defeated Private Public Partner by six wickets losing four wickets in 20 overs as Prafulla Vaidya contributed 71 runs, Ravi Sharma 50 runs and Amit Joshi 11 runs while Divas Prajapati, Ravi Sharma and Prafulla Vaidya took one-wicket each.

Electing to bat first, Private Public Partner had scored 160 losing four wickets in 20 overs as Amardeep Mahato scored 50 runs, Mandip Regmi 38 runs, and Summit Shrestha 29 runs. Similarly, Gagan Ghimire took two-wickets while Mandip Regmi and Sumit Shrestha took one wicket each.

In another match of the day, You We Rangers thrashed Global Bank by eight wickets losing two wickets in 20 overs as Chirag Mahipal contributed 64 runs and Abhishek Agrawal scored 34 runs while Mahipal grabbed three wickets and Vivek Khetan took one wicket.

Electing to bat first, Global Bank scored 123 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs as Ranjan Thapa scored 41 runs, Niroj Pandey 23 runs, Ashish Shrestha 16 runs and Bobby Mulmi 11 runs while Ranjan Thapa and Niroj Pandey took one wicket each.

So far, You We Rangers has gained 4 points from the played four matches, lost one and Global Bank is also pointless event after playing three matches in Group ‘A’ while Yeti Airlines has gained 2 points from played one match while Private Public Partner is pointless as it lost both the played matches in Group ‘B’.

Nepal Telecom is set to face Yeti Airlines while Agni Air will take on UNICEF in the next matches on Saturday. nepalnews.com
