PM Bhattarai administered the oath of office and secrecy to Sitaula in the presence of President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at Shital Niwas Sunday evening.
NC general secretary Sitaula is a third DPM in the Bhattarai Cabinet. Narayan Kaji Shrestha from UCPN (Maoist) and Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadhar from United Democratic Madheshi Front (UDMF) have already been sworn-in as DPM on Saturday.
Earlier today, NC President Sushil Koirala had recommended to PM Bhattarai to appoint Sitaula as DPM.
Sitaula and Suryaman Gurung of the Nepali Congress had been sworn in as ministers without portfolio on Saturday.
Meanwhile, owing to internal differences, the Deuba faction of the NC has decided to not send its representative to first national unity government after the election to the Constituent Assembly. nepalnews.com
