NT, QT announce operation of multi-service POP in Qatar
Nepal Telecom (NT) has established Multi-Service Point of Presence (POP) in Doha of Qatar with an aim of increasing its interconnection capacity.
Managing Director of NT, Amar Nath Singh and Ahmad Al-Derbesti, chief of Wholesale and International Officer of Qatar Telecom (QT) on Sunday jointly announced an operation of POP amidst a function organized in Doha, according to the press statement.
The agreement to establish POP in Doha was signed between NT and QT on October 16, last year.
The main aim of establishing the POP service is to expand business between two telecommunications along with providing qualitative telecommunication services to Nepali migrant living in Qatar, said Singh.
This POP will also directly benefit the Nepali workers in other gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait among others at a cheaper price. nepalnews.com
