Nepal beat Iran by mammoth margin to enter ACC U-16 Elite Cup semis
Nepal thrashed Iran by a huge margin of 167 runs to enter the semi-final of the ongoing ACC U-16 Elite Cup 2012 played at Bayuemas Oval Cricket Ground in Kualalumpur, Malaysia, on Tuesday.
Electing to bat first, Nepal scored 246 runs losing eight-wickets in 40 overs with Aadil Khan's 71 runs, 51 from Jagdish Chand runs and 37 runs Aasif Sheikh. Khan was declared man of the match.
Chasing the target, Iran were restricted just to 79 runs in 28 over losing nine-wickets. The last batsman was retired hurt due to injury. Kalicharan Yadav and Aakash Bista grabbed four-wickets each for Nepal.
This is the third consecutive victory for Nepal. They had thrashed Kuwait and Bahrain in the previous matches. nepalnews.com
