Nepal enter final of ACC U-16 Elite Cup defeating Singapore
Nepal advanced to the final of ACC U-16 Elite Cup defeating Singapore by a huge margin of 101 runs in the semi-final match played at Bayuemas Oval Cricket Ground in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia on Friday.
Electing to bat first, Nepal collected 240 runs losing nine wickets in 40 overs with Jagdish Chand scoreing 53 runs and Nurdhwoj Sen 51 runs. Chand was declared 'man of the match'.
Similarly, Aadil Khan and Rupesh Bastola contributed 21 runs each, Dipendra Chand 20 runs, Alfaz Mansuri 18 runs, Aashif Seikh 15 runs and Akash Bista 6 runs for Nepal.
Chasing the target, Singapore were restricted to 139 runs in 36.5 overs as Jagadish and Aakash Bista grabbed three wickets each.
This is the fifth consecutive victory of Nepal. They had defeated Kuwait, Bahrain, Iran and Malaysia to enter semi-final toping the Group ‘B’. nepalnews.com
