PM Bhattarai said that the government was seeking an alternative for them and they would be relocated soon.

Urging the people who have been made homeless after the government bulldozed the settlement during government's drive to retain the encroached area, not to believe the false words of NGOs and INGOs, the PM hinted that they could be relocated at the premises of Himal Cement Factory in Chovar which has been useless since over a decade.

"The government will bring a package for you," he said.

Over 250 illegally constructed homes were demolished in Thapathali on Tuesday.

The government has already decided to provide Rs 15,000 to each family whose houses were demolished as the immediate relief. nepalnews.com
