CA meeting deferred again as CC sends questionnaire back to Sub-Committee

The meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA) scheduled for today has been deferred till Monday due to the lack of business as the questionnaire on the debated issues could not be finalised.

The meeting of the Constitutional Committee (CC) which was expected to approve the questionnaire for voting to settle the contentious issues related to the constitution drafting including state restructuring and form of governance on Sunday sent the questionnaire back to the dispute resolution Sub-Committee.

The CC meeting held at Singha Durbar took the decision to this effect after some CC members suggested some changes in the questionnaires.

Emerging from the meeting, CC chairman Nilambar Acharya said that the questionnaire was sent back to the Sub-Committee to decide whether or not to include the suggested changes and to review the language used in the questionnaire.

The sub-committee had send 30 of the 117 unresolved issues to the CC this morning. nepalnews.com
