President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has expressed his hope that the political parties will be able to forge agreement on constitutional issues to promulgate the constitution within tonight.

The President made his belief clear in a meeting with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai in Shital Niwas, the Office of the President, Sunday morning.

PM Bhattarai, who had reached Shital Niwas to brief the President about the negotiations on constitutional issues held till late night Saturday, said in response that the political parties are trying to complete negotiations on disputed issues of the constitution in an amicable manner and expressed his firm belief that its outcome will be positive.
