CA members demonstrate in Assembly premises

Constituent Assembly (CA) members have been staging demonstration in the CA premises in Naya Baneshwor demanding commencement of the assembly meeting as only a few hours are left for the expiry of the CA.

The CA members chanted slogans demanding that the meeting should commence at the earliest and the constitution should be promulgated by midnight today, the deadline day to declare new constitution.

The CA members have been stating sit-in-protest where the leaders representing various political parties have been addressing.

The CA meeting that was deferred for 21st consecutive time yesterday was called at 11.00 am today. However, the meeting is yet to start as the top leaders of the major parties have been making a last-ditch effort to iron out the differences on constitution in Baluwatar.
