Jumbo team of Buddhist monks from South-east Asian countries arriving
A team of 95 Buddhist monks and disciples from South-east Asian countries Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia is arriving here on Friday in connection with the Visit Lumbini Year-2012, RSS reports.
The team is arriving here at the invitation of the Charumati Buddhist Mission Nepal, the Charumati Buddha Vihar and the World Youth Buddhist Monks Association Nepal branch.
During its two-day stay in Nepal, the Buddhist delegation will call on the Prime Minister and visit Lumbini, Swayambhunath and Boudhdhanath.
The members of the delegation will also perform a Buddha prayer at the 2,300 years old Charumati Stupa wishing for world peace.
