NEPSE index crosses 450 pts after two years
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index on Wednesday crossed over 450 points mark for the first time after more than two years.
The index has continued to increase to 451.43 points, the second trading day after Dashain vacation. The index had increased by 11.13 points to settle at 447.83 points on Tuesday, the first trading day.
The benchmark index had last reached 453.4 points on August 16, 2010.
As per the sub-indices of the secondary market, hydropower posted positive growth by 17.09 points while banking was 8.54 points, insurance 8.52 points, development bank 2.44 points and finance 0.62 point. However, other group posted negative by 17.62 points.
The secondary market also registered turnover of Rs. 58.35 million trading 187, 241 shares through 1,142 transactions. nepalnews.com
