UCPN (M) proposes oppn parties to name PM candidate
The UCPN (Maoist) has proposed opposition parties to name their Prime Ministerial candidate to lead the consensus government.
In the meeting of the major four political forces held on Friday as part of their attempts to seek possible way out of the current political impasse, the Maoist chairaman Pushpa Kamal Dahal proposed to name the PM candidate after the leaders of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML refused former's proposal to convert existing government into national consensus government, according to UML leader Bhim Rawal.
"We rejected their proposal to convert incumbent government into national consensus government. And, Maoist chairman Dahal told us to name our PM candidate," he said.
The meeting of the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and Madhesi Front held in Lalitpur also dwelt on fiscal budget.
Emerging from the meeting NC vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel said that NC would not accept the full-budget introduced by the Maoist party-led government. Nepalnews.com |
