KU, NCM win Tuesday's matches of KU Cup Twenty20 Cricket
Kathmandu University Central Campus (KU) defeated Kantipur Dental College Teaching Hospital & Research Centre (KDCH) in the fifth match on the third day of the ongoing KU Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament played at the KU Ground, Dhulikhel, on Tuesday.
KU defeated KDCH by nine wickets. Electing to bat first, KDCH scored total 70 runs losing 10 wickets in 17 overs as Asutosh Shukla and Nischal Kunwar scored 15 runs each. Krishna Bista, Shirish Bajracharya and Umesh Badu grabbed two wickets each.
KU easily chased the target in seven wickets scoring 73 runs as Pragyesh Dhungel and Krishna Bista scored 27 runs each while Ankit Poudel contributed 15 runs.
Similarly, Nepal College of Management (NCM) thrashed National College of Development Studies (NCDS) by six wickets in another match of the day.
Electing to bat first, NCDS scored 99 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Saurav Bastola scored 28 runs and Shishir Bhandari 13 runs.
Ashish Ghimire took three wickets and Suresh Khatri took two wickets for NCM.
In return, NCM chased target of 100 losing four wickets in 20 overs as Dinesh Barakoti contributed 23 runs, Prabin Agrawal 19 runs, and Suresh Khatri 15 runs.
