One killed, dozen hurt in bus accident

A man was killed and over a dozen passengers were hurt after two buses collided with each other in Saptari district on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Chandra Gupta of Rajbiraj-8, according to police.

The bus (Na 4 Kha 4735), en-route to Kakadbhitta from Kathmandu and another bus (Na 4 Kha 6633) heading to Janakpur from Rajbiraj collided with each other in Pansera-7 of the district along the East West Highway .

The deceased is the driver of the bus registered as Na 4 Kha 4735, said the police.

His body has been sent to Rajbiraj Hospital for post-mortem.

All the injured have been receiving treatment at Lahan-based Friends Model Hospital. nepalnews.com
