Women accused of murdering elderly in Capital made public
Police on Monday made public two persons believed to have murdered an elderly woman in Kathmandu on November 11.
The two were arrested on Sunday.
Officials said they have evidence that Junita Thapa (22) from Jorpati and Kalpana Giri from Nayabasti had attacked Bunu Devi Rana (69) at her home in Naxal at around 8 pm. The duo hit the elderly woman, who was watching TV in her bedroom, on the head with a base ball bat and decamped with valuables in her possession, said police.
