South Korea wants 6,000 Nepalis in EPS roster to re-register
The South Korean government has told its Employment Permit System (EPS) Nepal office to re-register 5,991 Nepali nationals who are yet to receive job offers under the scheme.
Those candidates whose names are on the list will have to re-apply at the EPS-Nepal office to retain their name in roster of Human Resource Department (HRD) of Korea.
“Nepali nationals who passed the Korean Language Test (KLT) on July 22-23 and have yet to receive a job offer are to re-register themselves in the EPS roster,” the Ministry of Labour, EPS Section, said in a notice.
Those who do not re-register will not be eligible to receive a job offer under the system, said the ministry.
The Korean government introduced EPS in 2004 to allow domestic firms to hire foreign workers. Korea has signed EPS deals with 15 countries, including Nepal. nepalnews.com
