The opposition also objected to the government decision to present the ordinance budget to the President without political consensus.

The opposition parties issued the press statement from their interaction on budget and the economy.

Speaking at the programme, UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal described the government decision to hold fresh CA polls in Baisakh (April-May) and present budget to the President as being "deceitful". He said Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai went back on the assurance he gave during Monday's meeting with the President that the government "is ready pave the way for a consensus".
