NEPSE hits two and half year high
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased to hit two and half year high by recording over 500 points on Tuesday.
The secondary market recorded 501.51 points on Tuesday, an increase by
8.71 points from the Sunday’s 492.8 points, the first trading day after Tihar festival.
As per the sub-indices of the bullish market, banking, hotels and hydropower performed strongly as they increased by 13.52 points, 17.03 points and 24.79 points respectively. Similarly, development bank, finance and insurance groups also posted positive growth by 0.16 points, 0.11 points and 6.32 points respectively.
However, others group is seen negative by 1.18 points.
The same day, the index made a turnover of Rs. 141.51 million trading 416,974 shares through 1796 transaction. Nepalnews.com
