APF clinch Women’s National T20 Cricket Tournament title
Armed Police Force (APF) clinched the title of Wai Wai Women’s National T20 Cricket Tournament.
APF defeated Region No. 5 Nepalgunj by 34 runs in the final match played at Rangashala Ground, Pokhara on Wednesday.
Electing to bat first, APF scored 110 runs losing five wickets in 120 overs as Madhu Thapa scored 41 runs, Sarita Magar 22 runs and Sita Rana Magar scored 11 runs.
While chasing the target, Nepalgunj could score only 76 runs losing five wickets in 20 overs. Sonu Khadka and Sarita Magar grabbed two wickets each for APF.
APF’s Sarita Rana Magar was also declared the best batswoman of the tournament while Baitadi’s Roshani Bohara was declared player of the series.
