FNCCI condemns CPN-Maoist ban on Hindi movies

Issuing a statement on Thursday, FNCCI also said that while the Nepali movies should be promoted and developed in the international market, the CPN-Maoist move of prohibiting movies from other countries will ultimately hamper the growth of Nepali cinema industry.

Saying that Nepal has opted open economic policy, the apex business body of the country also urged the concerned authorities to be alert to prevent further losses from the CPN-M decision.
The federation has also urged the government to create favourable environment to run movies of all kinds while protecting the domestic cinema industry.
