CAN announces preliminary squad for ACC Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Friday announced the preliminary squad for the ACC Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup scheduled to be held from October 24-31 in Guangzhou, China.
The CAN selected the preliminary team based on their performance in the recently held National Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament in Pokhara.
The players include Karuna Bhandari, Rubina Chhetri Belbashi, Indu Berma, Nary Thapa, Mamta Kumari Chaudhary, Sangeeta Gauchan, Geeta Chudal, Rekha Rawal, Trishna Singh, Sarita Magar, Shilu Rijal, Mamata Thapa, Roshani Bohara, Shobha Ale, Neera Rajopadhyay, Rashmi Sharma Chalaugain, Sonu Khadka and Sita Rana Magar.
Nepal have been drawn alongside Bangladesh, host China and Sri Lanka in Group B while Hong Kong, India, Pakistan and Thailand are in Group A.
Similarly, Nepal will take on Bangladesh on October 26 and host China on October 29.
