Biswa Nari Ratna to litterateur Dr Banira Giri

The World Women Nepali Literary Conference founded by the Trimurti Niketan has decided to honour Dr Banira Giri with the title of "Biswa Nari Ratna", RSS reports.

On Saturday the Conference unanimously decided to honour Dr Giri with the title in recognition of her contribution to the advancement of Nepali language through the medium of poem, story, essay, critical and research-based writings.

The title also carries a copper plaque and Rs. 250,000 in cash, according to the member-secretary of the Conference Narendra Raj Prasain. Nepalnews.com
