NEPSE index gains 8.53 pts
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 8.53 points over last week, the five trading days from Sunday to Thursday.
The secondary market index increased to settle at 423.54 on Thursday from last Sunday’s 415.01 points.
As per the sub-indices of the secondary market, other group gained 58.73 points, hydropower 68.51 points and insurance 28.62 points while commercial bank lost 2.95 points, manufacturing 0.99 points, hotel 13.03 points, finance 1.22 and development bank 1.92 points.
Over the week, the secondary stock market traded with 124 companies registering a turnover of Rs. 302.45 million while it had traded with 121 companies registering a turnover of Rs. 435.66 million in the previous week.
Of the total transaction, Group A companies alone contributed Rs. 132 million which is 43.67 percent of the total turnover. Nepalnews.com
