Nepal Nat’l U-14 Football Team off to Japan
Nepal National U-14 Football Team on Saturday left for Japan to participate in the Kizuna Project Japan-SAARC U-14 Football Exchange Programme scheduled to be held from October 7 to 21.
A 20-member U-14 football team comprises of player Asish Thada, Srijan Shrestha, Ananta Tamang, Akash Thapa, Sudhan Thapa, Ujjwol Chemjong, Hemant Thapa Magar, Gaurab Budhathoki, Rabi Bhandari, Bimal Gharti Magar, Suman Parajuli, Sugam Shrestha, Nishan Dhungana, Lalit thapa, Sajan Rai and Shiva Subedi.
Similarly, coach Bal Gopal Maharjan, team manager Rabindra Shrestha along with other officials Purushottam Adhikari and Ratna Kumar Shrestha are also with the team.
All together 10 teams including eight SAARC countries and two Japanese teams will compete in the event.
The teams are divided into two groups. Nepal will take on Maldives in their opening match and Japan Academy 2 on October 9, Pakistan on October 10 and Sri Lanka on October 11.
