Twelve children killed by leopards in Baitadi within a year

An eight-year-old girl, Manju Chand, was dragged away by a leopard on Sunday from Aamchaura-8 in Baitadi.

Couple of hours later only the head and some parts of her body were found by the villagers in a nearby forest.

This is the second instance since Wednesday last week when a four-year-old was killed by a leopard in Aamchaura-7.

Reports said twelve children have been killed in leopard attacks in the area within past one year. Nepalnews.com
