Package deal, then change in govt: UCPN (Maoist)
UCPN(Maoist) has decided that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai will not put in his papers until major political parties reach a 'package deal' on all contentious issues.
A meeting of party office bearers at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, also decided to show maximum flexibility while sitting for talks with other political parties.
The leaders held that Nepali Congress and other opposition parties were more concerned about leading the government than finding a solution to the political crisis.
Leaders also dwelt on the party's general convention, scheduled for later this year. The party has decided to go to the people to prepare for elections, which leaders said is most likely to be held in April. nepalnews.com
