Int’l technology, innovation conference in Kathmandu from Oct 10
The International Conference on Engineering Technology and Innovation Management is to kick off in the capital this week.
The conference to be participated in by some 250 representatives of engineering technology and industrial organizations from Nepal, India, Thailand and Norway has a theme ‘Innovation, creativity and
entrepreneurship: explore experiment and excel.’
The conference is organized jointly by the Mechanical Engineering Department under the TU Institute of Engineering (IOE), and Centre for Applied Research and Development from October 10- 12 in partnership with the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology, according to RSS.
President of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Prof. Said Irandoust, Associative Prof. of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway, Bjorn Otto Elvenes, Prof. Chachanat Thebtaranonth of the Thai Business Incubation and Science Park Association (Thai BISPA) and founder director of the Craffiti Consulting, Navneet Bhushan will be key speakers at the conference, said chief of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Rajendra Shrestha.
The IOE has started studies in Masters Level from 2010 with an objective of preparing skilled and professional manpower by integrating the engineering technology, innovation, and industrial management.
The conference will be instrumental in exchanging experiences, said Director of the Centre for Applied Research and Development Prof. Dr.
Bhakta Bahadur Ale.
The conference will also discuss on public private partnership on technology and innovation promotion, among others. Nepalnews.com
