CPN-M chair Baidya warns of declaring ethnic states from street
The CPN-Maoist chairman Mohan Baidya Wednesday warned of declaring ethnic federal states from the street strongly objecting to the major political parties' informal understanding to go for the fresh Constituent Assembly (CA) polls.
Addressing the national gathering of the volunteers of the party, Baidya said his party would announce new constitution from the street if its demand of round table conference was ignored.
The CPN-Maoist has been saying that the solution of the current political impasse should be sought through round table conference instead of holding fresh election.
Baidya also claimed that way out to the protracted political crisis would not be found without formation of the new government under the leadership of an alliance comprising patriotic, republican and pro-federal force accusing the UCPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress and UML of bickering for power.
"Major parties are fighting for power. We will announce federal states from the streets if parties keep neglecting our voice," he added. nepalnews.com
