Two Uzbeks missing on Annapurna
Two Uzbek nationals attempting to scale Mt. Annapurna have gone missing since Monday.
llyas Tukhvatulin (54) and Ivan Lobanov (51) are reported to have been swept away by an avalanche. Authorities said they have called off search for the missing by helicopters. A group of Sherpas are now looking for the Uzbek nationals, they said.
The incident comes a month after nine mountaineers were killed in an avalanche on Mount Manaslu. nepalnews.com
