President Dr Ram Baran Yadav |
President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Friday said he was concerned that leaders of major political parties were not following the Supreme Court's verdict on the fate of the Constituent Assembly.
Speaking at a programme in Lalitpur, the Head of the State said leaders of political parties, including those in the government, were interpreting the court's order to go for fresh election to suit their interest.
"The political crisis facing the country cannot be resolved until a new constitution is promulgated through a Constituent Assembly," he added.
Except for the integration of former combatants into the Nepal Army, no significant achievement has been made after the Jana Andolan II, held President Yadav.
President Yadav's remarks comes a few days after the UCPN (Maoist) started lobbying for the revival of the dissolved CA. nepalnews.com
