Addressing a gathering organised by the NC in Nepalgunj on Saturday, Koirala reminded the cadres of the electoral loss the party faced in the 2008 Constituent Assembly elections and asked them to work with high morale to make the party victorious this time around.

He said the NC was in favor of elections and it considered the UCPN (Maoist) proposal to revive the dissolved CA as an attempt to prolong their stay in power. The NC president was also critical of the NC leaders who have been talking about CA revival, saying that they have "fallen into the Maoists' trap".

Koirala arrived in Nepaljung on Friday to attend party programmes in Banke and Bardiya districts. He will will return the capital on Monday. nepalnews.com
