14 female litterateurs nominated as Nepali literary envoys

The Conference on World Female Nepali Literature organised by Trimurti Niketan has nominated 14 female litterateurs of four countries as Nepali literary ambassadors, RSS reports.

In this respect, Indian female literary figures including Geeta Upadhya, Dr Pushpa Sharma and Bindaya Subba have been nominated as Nepali literary ambassadors.

Likewise, Geeta Khatri, Nilam Karki Niharika, Bharati Gautam, Manu Lohorang and Sarala Shrestha are nominated as ambassador of Nepali language and literature to the United States.

Similarly, Jaya Rai, lara and Sanju Bajgain are nominated as literary ambassador to the United Kingdom while Krishna kala Banem, Dips Shah and Bhagawati Basnet have been nominated as ambassador to Israel.

The idea is to nominate female literary figures dedicated in promotion of literary works in different countries as literary ambassadors of Nepal, said member-secretary of the conference Narendra Raj Prasain. Nepalnews.com
