Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar Sunday said that the Home Ministry has adopted a policy of zero tolerance against unprofessional activities in Nepal Police.

Addressing a function organised to mark the 57th Police Day at the police headquarters in Kathmandu, the DPM said high professional standard would be maintained in Nepal Police, RSS reported.

He also directed the police force to remain alert to prevent the police organisation from being manipulated by unprofessional elements.

The DPM also extolled the contributions made by enthusiastic members of the Nepal Police to ensure security to the people despite enormous challenges.

On the occasion, Nepal Police IGP Kuber Singh Rana pledged that the police organisation would perform its duty with professional ethics and will also remain sensitive towards human rights issues. nepalnews.com
