CAN organises honour parade for cricket team for ACC Elite Trophy feat

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) organised a rally in the capital on Monday to felicitate the national cricket team for their victory in the ACC Elite Trophy 2012 that concluded in UAE on Friday.

The procession that began from Naxal passed through Jai Nepal, Durbar Marg, Ratnapark, Bagbazaar, Putalisadak, Bhrikutimandap, Bhadrakali, Sahid Gate and concluded at Tripurewor on Monday.

The procession was marked by traditional music along with banners that hailed the national cricket team.

CAN has announced Rs. 30,000 each to the players and officials of the team.

Nepal shared the title with host United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the final match played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE.
