CAN announces final quad for ACC Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Wednesday announced the final squad for the ACC Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup scheduled to be held from October 24-31 in Guangzhou, China.
The Association had earlier selected the preliminary team based on their performance in the recently held National Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament in Pokhara.
The final squad comprises Rubina Chhettri, Karuna Bhandari, Indu Berma, Nery Thapa, Mamta Kumari Chaudhary, Sonu Khadka, Sita Rana Magar, Rekha Rawal, Trishna Singh, Sarita Magar, Rashmi Sharma Chalaugain, Mamata Thapa, Roshani Bohara, Shobha Ale and Neera Rajopadhyay.
Sangeeta Gauchan, Geeta Chudal and Shilu Rijal who were in closed camp are not included in the final squad.
Nepal have been drawn alongside Bangladesh, host China and Sri Lanka in Group B while Hong Kong, India, Pakistan and Thailand are in Group A.
Similarly, Nepal will take on Bangladesh on October 26 and host China on October 29. nepalnews.com |
