All-party meeting at Shital Niwas to end political deadlock

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has called an all-party meeting at Shital Niwas at 9 am today morning.

The ruling UCPN (M), NC, UML, coalition partner Madhesi Front, CPN-Maoist and more than 20 other parties represented in the dissolved CA have been invited to the discussion.

During the meeting, President Yadav is expected to exert pressure on the political parties to forge consensus to find a way out of the political and constitutional crises facing the country.

The meeting is being held two days after the four major parties missed the self-imposed deadline to end the existing political deadlock.

In what appears to be increasing animosity between the President and UCPN(Maoist) party, Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday had said that opposition parties should also agree to hold presidential election if they want to go for fresh polls without reinstating the Constituent Assembly. nepalnews.com
