Major reshuffle in bureaucracy, police
The government has given new portfolios to five senior secretaries and promoted 11 joint-secretaries to the post of secretary.
A meeting of the Cabinet held Thursday evening transferred senior secretaries Krishna Hari Baskota, Sushil Ghimire, Krishna Gywali, Dinesh Hari Adhikari and Dhurba Sharma. Baskota has been transferred from the Ministry of Finance to the Prime Minister’s Office while Ghimire has been transferred to Peace Ministry from Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Similarly, Gyawali has been transferred to Industry Ministry from Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology; Dinesh Hari Adhikari has been transferred to Ministry of Women and Children from Ministry of Land Reform and Dhurva Sharma has been transferred to President’s Office from Peace Ministry.
The Cabinet also decided to promote 10 joint secretaries to secretaries.
Those promoted are Narayan Gopal Malego, Laxman Pokhrel, Narendra Dahal, Suman Sharma, Shanta Bahadur Shrestha, Shradha Prasad Trital, Uddhav Baskota, Janardan Nepal, Atma Ram Pandey and Rana Bahadur Shrestha.
