Maitighar-Bhadrakali road opened for public
The government opened newly-constructed Maitighar-Bhadrakali road for traffic from Friday.
Traffic congestion around Singha Durbar, the country’s main administrative hub, in the capital is expected to ease with the opening of the road.
The 618-metre long and 10-metre wide road was constructed with the investment of Rs 12.5 million.
Minister for Physical Planning and Works, Transport Management Hridayesh Tripahi inaugurated the Nepal Army- constructed road amidst a function on Friday.
The Army opened new track after the road was closed for public during Maoist insurgency in view of security as the closure of raod drew flack from public and rights activists. nepalnews.com
