Bangladesh confers 'Liberation War Honour' on late NC president
Bangladesh government has conferred 'Bangladesh Liberation War Honour' to late Giirja Prasad Koirala, the then Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president, for his contribution to Bangladeshi freedom struggle during his self-exile in India.

The late NC leader is among 61 foreigners honoured on 40th anniversary of Bangladesh's liberation. 59 of them are recipients of 'Friends of Liberation War Honour', news reports said. The honour was conferred amid a ceremony in Dhaka on Saturday.
Nepali Congress leader Sujata received the honour conferred on her father.
Last year, Bangladesh had honoured late Congress leader B.P Koirala and President Ram Baran Yadav for their contribution to Bangladeshi freedom fight. President Yadav was honoured for helping Bangladeshi refugees in Calcutta when he was a medical student there. nealnews.com
