Stock market up by 10.08 pts
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index posted a double digit growth of 10.08 points over last week.
Over the four trading days last week, the secondary capital market closed at 436.71 points on Thursday from Sunday’s 426.63 points, the first trading day.
As per NEPSE sub-indices, all the groups posted positive growth except insurance by 0.58 points and finance 0.35 points. Commercial banks gained 9.20 points, hotel 6.78 points, other 27.02 points, hydropower 30.05 points, trade 2.20 points and development banks 2.24 points.
Over the week, the secondary stock market traded with 121 companies registering a turnover of Rs. 165.79 million while it had traded with 139 companies registering a turnover of Rs. 433.58 million in the previous week.
Of the total transaction, Group A companies alone contributed Rs. 95.7 million which is 57.75 percent of the total turnover. nepalnews.com
