Nepali Nat’l Women’s Cricket team leaving for China
The Nepali National Women’s Cricket team is leaving for China this evening to participate in the upcoming ACC Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup scheduled to be held from October 24-31 in Guangzhou, China.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has also organised a farewell programme to the team wishing best wishes on Sunday.
The CAN had announced the final squad for the tournament on Wednesday.
The final squad comprises Rubina Chhettri, Karuna Bhandari, Indu Berma, Nery Thapa, Mamta Kumari Chaudhary, Sonu Khadka, Sita Rana Magar, Rekha Rawal, Trishna Singh, Sarita Magar, Rashmi Sharma Chalaugain, Mamata Thapa, Roshani Bohara, Shobha Ale and Neera Rajopadhyay.
Nepal has been drawn alongside Bangladesh, host China and Sri Lanka in Group B while Hong Kong, India, Pakistan and Thailand are in Group A.
Similarly, Nepal will take on Bangladesh on October 26 and host China on October 29. nepalnews.com
