Body of deceased Paralympics official repatriated
London 2012 has confirmed its medical repatriation insurers have now returned the body of deceased Nepal National Paralympic Committee (NPC) official Man Bahadur Lopchan to his family.
Lopchan (45) of National Paralympics Committee, who had tried to commit suicide in September, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Hospital in London. Reports said he died due to Hypoxic brain injury, caused by a decrease in the oxygen supply to the brain.
Reports suggested that London 2012 officials were preparing to perform the last rites of the deceased but they now say the issue has now reached a conclusion after his body was returned."Our medical repatriation insurers liaised with the family to make arrangements for the repatriation of the body and this has now happened," a London 2012 spokesperson told local press. nepalnews.com
